John Joseph AndrewsSPRAKEIt is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of John Joseph Andrews Sprake, who passed away peacefully on the 23rd September 2025 at the age of 86. He loved his farming, hunting and racing.

John was a loving husband to wife Susan, father to his 7 children, grandfather to his 18 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

John's funeral will take place at Sherborne Abbey at 12.o'clock on Friday 10th October.

This will be followed by burial and then a wake at Bradley Head Farm, Milborne Wick, to celebrate John's life.

John was the heart of Milborne Wick, and will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers please, donations in memory of John for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and the Injured Jockeys Fund may be sent c/o A.J. Wakely & Sons, 16 Newland, Sherborne, DT9 3JQ (please make cheques payable to the charity) or donate online at www.ajwakely.com
